The founding president of the real estate firm Benjamin James East and the creative director of the cultural collective Tribal Truth Media, James Ferrari has long straddled the worlds of business and art. In addition to creating his own paintings and multimedia works, he has experience in the motion picture industry as both an actor and a producer. James Ferrari’s production credits include the 2006 feature film Kettle of Fish.

Directed and written by experienced filmmaker Claudia Myers, Kettle of Fish tells the story of an aging bachelor named Mel who must face his lifelong intimacy issues when he sublets his apartment to an attractive biologist by the name of Ginger. While residing in his apartment, the biologist conducts research on the bachelor’s pet fish, an activity that ultimately causes one of her lab frogs and the fish to strike up a romantic relationship.
The relationship between the two animals highlights the central topic of the film, which is about opposites attracting or failing to attract. Kettle of Fish stars accomplished actors Matthew Modine as Mel and Gina Gershon as Ginger.
